Seafront in Worthing UK.

Worthing has it all

With its award-winning beaches, abundance of leisure clubs and its proximity to the South Downs National Park, there are lots of opportunities to get active in this seaside resort. While its iconic pier and independent shopping provide the perfect way to while away a leisurely weekend.

For those occasions when you are looking for city centre vibes, then Brighton’s trendy nightlife and its eclectic shopping and cultural scene is just half an hour away by train.

Shopping on your doorstep

For a quick trip to the shops, your local Tesco Extra store is just a few minutes away on foot, where you can also pick up a coffee for your stroll back home. And Morrisons is little more than a 10 minute drive away.

When it’s time for some serious retail therapy, Worthing town centre runs parallel to the seafront, with a choice of nearly 400 stores, including high street names, as well as a great selection of independents.

Regular events take place in the town centre, with a popular weekly market every Wednesday on Montague Street. Here you can browse around 40 stalls offering everything from artisan produce and fruit and vegetables, to jewellery and crafts.

Out and about

At BoKlok on the Lake, you are never far from the seafront and all the leisure and recreational activities it has to offer. You can be at the popular Worthing Sailing Club in 16 minutes by bike or just under 10 minutes by car, meaning an early morning or a post-work trip on board is easily achievable. Or you can simply head straight to the beach for a swim or a surf, whenever the mood takes you.

There is also the David Lloyd Leisure Centre and a host of parks close by, including the stunning Highdown Hill, with its impressive views and vast walking routes. The closest primary school is The Laurels Primary School, which is under half a mile away (2 minutes by bike / 6 minutes on foot / 3 minutes by car).
