At home with...the Johansson-Jonsson family

Lina and her partner Marcus live in a BoKlok townhouse in Linghem, Sweden. Lina describes her favourite room in the house and gives us an insight into a few tips and tricks that have enabled them to make the most of the storage on offer in their new home.

Talking of her favourite room, Lina says:

“Right now my favourite room is our blue bedroom – it feels cosy and gives a real splash of colour to our otherwise fairly neutral-coloured home. Painting the bedroom was one of the first things we did when we moved in. I had been dreaming about a big bedroom in this particular colour for a long time.”

Lina shares her storage tips:

“We have a good storage space under the stairs containing bookshelves and a shoe cupboard. Here we can store everything that’s not all that attractive to look at but important to have close to hand. There’s space for lots of things including all of our cleaning supplies.

“In the little closet in the hall we’ve installed baskets on the walls and put hooks on the inside of the door. There’s space in there for all the coats, gloves, hats and scarves we don’t use that often, leaving more space in the hall, which helps to keep it tidier.

“Finally, we’ve put up shelves and racks in the bedroom wardrobe for a great walk-in wardrobe feel!”

Talking of her design inspiration, Lina adds:

"I’m inspired when I see how other people living in the exact same terraced house have made their place so beautiful but at the same time so completely different! It’s crazy how much fun it is to see how other people think and find new solutions. I follow a lot of people living in the same BoKlok terraced houses on Instagram.”
