At BoKlok, we work closely with local councils and local resident groups to ensure our developments deliver the right mix, type and style of homes, to meet local housing needs.
Our developments include a mix of private, as well as affordable homes. By working with local authorities and housing associations, we are able to ensure that our developments meet the needs of the wider community.
At BoKlok on the Lake in Worthing, we have worked alongside VIVID to deliver a series of affordable apartments, alongside our homes available for private sale.
VIVID is a leading provider of affordable homes and housing-related services in the south of England.
We’re delighted to announce we’re working with BoKlok on this first of its kind partnership with a housing association, having admired its innovative developments, building both sustainable and high-quality homes.
VIVID and BoKlok have a common vision and are aligned in our forward-thinking approach, to build more homes across a range of tenures, using the latest approach in modular construction. BoKlok is also the right partner for us with our drive to net-zero carbon.
In Lockleaze, north Bristol, we will deliver 100% affordable homes, through a partnership with Abri, one of the largest housing providers in the south of England.
The scheme will deliver homes available through shared ownership and social rent and will comprise a mix of two and three-bedroom properties.
Our partnership with BoKlok will achieve our shared ambition to provide homes that are great places to live for people and the planet. We’re committed to helping tackle the housing crisis by delivering high quality, affordable homes at pace that also minimise their impact on the environment.
Our strategic aim is to provide at least 25 per cent of our new build homes using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and collaboration will be key to achieving this. Our shared values with BoKlok mean that we can really make a difference to meet the demand for affordable homes while creating communities that offer the highest standards of sustainability.
We have successfully offered the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, across our BoKlok on the Brook and BoKlok on the Lake developments. With this scheme no-longer available, we are looking at initiatives such as the Government First Homes schemes, on our future developments.
All of our homes, regardless of tenure, include the same fitted kitchens and bathrooms, as well as a range of energy saving measures – from Air Source Heat Pumps to enhanced insulation and water-saving features.
